The first ingredient in almost all babycare products. Premium quality distilled with maximum filtration for extra purity to help dissolve skin conditioning and cleansing agents. Completely free of toxins, bacteria, and pollutants. Water is the base of most babycare and body products. It’s used as a solvent to dissolve other basic care ingredients, but also acts to form emulsions with oil and water to bring them together.
As a natural emollient humectant that can boost moisture levels in baby’s skin, glycerin is in 90 percent of skincare products. Glycerin is produced from vegetable fat, and considered a three-fold alcohol. This is widely used in babycare for different items. After bathtime, glycerin will help replenish moisture levels in baby’s skin. Plus, it guards against dryness when applied through lotions and balms with an easy application.
Very simply put, this is Vitamin E as a skincare ingredient. Considered a potent antioxidant that is derived from edible vegetable oils. The kind of tocopherol we use hasn’t been genetically modified. That’s why it has the designation of “Non-GMO.” Vitamin E in general is a skin conditioner. You’ll find that it’s commonly put in lotions, balms, and cleansers for babycare to promote healthy skin.
From the aloe barbadensis plant. More commonly referred to as just “aloe vera” in ingredient listings. All aloe vera truly is, is the gum resin of the plant’s leaves. Grown without any pesticides. When used in babycare products, aloe is typically thought to hydrate. It also can act as an anti-inflammatory for skin irritations like diaper rash, and has antibacterial properties.
Raw virgin coconut oil acts as an emulsifier, surfactant, and conditioner for a baby’s skin and hair. It’s derived from the kernels of the coconut palm, that have been grown organically. Coconut oil has long been used to naturally treat conditions in the scalp like “cradle cap.” It may help to reduce flakes from forming and get rid of flaky skin. It’s moisturizing properties are highly valued and are used in many of our babycare products.
Cold pressed oil from the seeds of the sunflower plant. These are grown organically to produce this rich and lush oil. As a conditioning agent used in baby’s body lotions, diaper rash creams, or sunscreen it’s widely used. You’ll find the texture of sunflower oil absorbs quickly without leaving any greasy residue. Considered one of the best baby massage oils around.
As a highly moisturizing emollient, castor oil also helps to create slip and a creamy texture to lotions and balms in babycare products. The oil itself is cold pressed from the seeds of the Ricinus communis plant. Our castor oil comes from plants that are grown organically. Helps to hold in moisture and prevent chapped skin. Lightweight in texture for an oil, this type of castor oil absorbs quickly to leave little to no residue on a baby’s skin.
A plant derived botanical ingredient. It’s been used in body care for centuries. Acts beneficially in cleansing, moisturizing, and skin conditioning. This is an extract added to many babycare products for its pleasant and fresh scent. The light yellow or amber colored liquid has a woodsy scent that can mask other natural odors from ingredients.
Used mainly in the formulation of cleansing products. Has a superior water solubility. A key ingredient in our Organic Foaming Hand Soap and Organic Foaming Dish Soap. This ingredient also helps to buffer the acidity of other active ingredients when mixed together. Adjusts the pH levels so that it’s gentle on skin.
